‘Daring to Draw’

A course for 12yrs – 16yrs

This is an exciting 4 day course working with clay and black and white media. Exploring Durer’s ‘Melancholia’ we will begin by developing skills in observation and gradually discover how to create many of the shapes and objects that go to making up Durer’s masterpiece. Studying simple forms of sphere, cube and tubes and moving towards a more complex composition we will meet some of the joys and challenges involved in working with graphite, charcoal and conte.
